Rangetop or Cooktop: Which Wolf Do I Have?
The answer
Start with the surface. Smooth glass means a cooktop, because Wolf's rangetops are gas. A griddle or charbroiler built in beside the burners points to a rangetop. Tells that work
Wolf’s current gas cooktop guide covers 15, 24, 30 and 36-inch tops, every one of them burners only, so a narrow gas top with nothing else on it is a cooktop. The griddle and the charbroiler belong to the rangetops and the ranges. An oven door right below the burners means a range.
Finding the rating plate
A cooktop carries it on its bottom, so look up from the cabinet beneath. On an SRT rangetop, and on Wolf’s DF, GR and IR ranges, it sits on the lower edge of the control panel at the far right. An older RT hides it under the left burner pan; leave that one for the visit.
