Lock Indicator Lit and Nothing Responds
A lit lock symbol on a Wolf induction or electric cooktop means the control panel lock is on, and no zone will start until that lock is released.

Why the panel locks
Wolf fitted the lock so the top cannot be switched on by accident, and it sets itself once the cooktop has been left idle. The older CT guide goes a step further and asks owners to lock the panel before wiping the glass, so a lock you did not set may be one someone else set while clearing up. On the current models the automatic lock can be turned off in the extended options menu; the lock you set by hand keeps working either way.
Listening to an older CT
On a CT model the key symbol answers in chimes. A five-second hold unlocks the panel with two chimes and the light in the key goes out; a three-second hold locks it with three. Hear three chimes and you have just locked it again, so hold once more until you hear two.
